VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM
Hayulima's Volunteering Program takes place during a monthly 10-day retreat. During this program, volunteers become integral members of the Hayulima family and provide valuable service to the community. Volunteer responsibilities encompass the preparation and maintenance of the facility spaces, ceremonial areas, and sweat lodges, as well as performing cleaning and maintenance tasks for the facilities and providing support in the kitchen. The program also entails active participation in ceremonies and activities throughout the retreat.
For this stage, the financial contribution is set at $600. To break this down, Hayulima contributes 33% of the total fee, volunteers contribute another 33% through their labor, and the remaining 33% represents the volunteers' financial contribution. The Sanctuary can host a maximum of four volunteers during each retreat. Throughout the retreat, volunteers will stay in shared accommodations and will be fully integrated into the Hayulima community.
